June in Toronto means Pride. The city hosts one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world, with a month of events culminating in the festival weekend in late June and the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Church-Wellesley Village fills with music and colour, rooftops and patios across the city throw parties, and plenty of people host their own gatherings before or after the parade.

If you are hosting, a rainbow line-up of cocktails is a fun way to celebrate. Here are six easy, colourful drinks, one for each colour of the classic Pride flag, plus low-alcohol options and tips for keeping the party going all day.

Red: Strawberry Basil Smash

  • Muddle 3 strawberries and 3 basil leaves in a shaker.
  • Add 1.5 oz vodka, 0.75 oz lemon juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup.
  • Shake with ice and strain over crushed ice. Garnish with a strawberry.

Fresh, fruity and not too sweet. Grey Goose or Tito’s both work well.

Orange: Mango Sunrise

  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Add 1.5 oz CÎROC Mango and top with orange juice.
  • Slowly pour 0.5 oz grenadine down the side so it sinks and creates a sunrise effect.

The mango vodka adds a tropical twist to a brunch classic.

Yellow: Lemon Drop Spritz

  • In a wine glass with ice, combine 1 oz vodka, 1 oz limoncello and 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice.
  • Top with 3 oz prosecco such as Blu Giovello.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Bright, bubbly and perfect for a sunny patio.

Green: Cucumber Gin Cooler

  • Muddle 4 slices of cucumber with 0.5 oz simple syrup.
  • Add 1.5 oz Bombay Sapphire and 0.75 oz lime juice, then shake with ice.
  • Strain into a tall glass over ice and top with soda water. Garnish with a cucumber ribbon and mint.

One of the most refreshing drinks you can make on a hot day.

Blue: Blue Lagoon

  • Fill a highball glass with ice.
  • Add 1 oz vodka and 1 oz blue curaçao.
  • Top with lemonade and garnish with a lemon slice and a cherry.

A retro favourite with an unbeatable colour.

Purple: Blackberry Bramble

  • Shake 1.5 oz gin, 0.75 oz lemon juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup with ice.
  • Strain over crushed ice in a rocks glass.
  • Drizzle 0.5 oz blackberry liqueur (crème de mûre) over the top and garnish with fresh blackberries.

The liqueur bleeds through the ice for a beautiful purple gradient.

Serve them as a rainbow flight

For a show-stopping table, make small versions of all six drinks in matching short glasses and line them up in order. It makes a great photo and lets guests try a bit of everything without overdoing it. Use coloured straws, edible flowers and fruit garnishes to finish the look.

Batch it for a bigger party

For a crowd, pick two or three of the recipes and batch them in pitchers without ice. Multiply each recipe by eight, keep the pitchers in the fridge, and pour over fresh ice to serve. Add any sparkling components (prosecco, soda) to each glass just before serving so they stay fizzy.

Low- and no-alcohol options

Pride events can be long days in the sun. Make sure everyone has great options without alcohol, or with less of it:

  • Spritz-style drinks: halve the spirit and top up with more soda or prosecco.
  • Mocktails: any of the drinks above works with the spirit replaced by soda water, flavoured sparkling water or juice. The Blue Lagoon becomes a fizzy blue lemonade; the Strawberry Basil Smash is delicious with soda.
  • Water station: a big jug of ice water with citrus and cucumber slices, right next to the bar.

Tips for parade day

  • Eat a proper meal before heading out, and bring water.
  • Wear sunscreen and take breaks in the shade.
  • Know the rules: public drinking is restricted in most public spaces in Ontario; enjoy your drinks at licensed venues, events or at home.
  • Look out for each other and plan how everyone will get home. Transit will be busy, so leave extra time.
